Retail sales executive job Summary – As a GPIL Digital centre Sales Associate you are responsible for delivering a transformational customer experience, building our brand one customer at a time and ultimately driving our business through sales. You should demonstrate a strong commitment to service, a genuine curiosity and interest in people, authenticity, and exceptional selling skills. The ideal candidate also understands how to be a team player, is savvy about the visual and operational aspects of the role, and is committed to loss prevention.

Retail Salesperson Job Duties–

• Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.

• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items.

• Advises customers by providing information on products.

• Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.

• Documents sale by creating or updating customer profile records.

• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash or other mode of payment.

• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Retail Salesperson Skills and Qualifications-

• Listening, Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Knowledge, People Skills, Energy Level, Dependability, General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, and Job Knowledge.

Education – Graduate

Experience – Minimum 1 Year Sales Floor Experience in Consumer Durable & Home Appliances in retail sector, or Supermarket.

Reporting Line – Reports to the Retail Supervisor through the Business Development Manager.

Work Location – Benin City, Edo State/ Sapele, Delta State.
